DIY: Dining Room Staging & Styling To “Dine” For
Styling a large dining space
For a large dining room, you may want to visually divide the large area into smaller ones with the help of rugs underneath your dining table, or adding a separate seating nook in one corner. The idea is not to make the place seem small, but cozy and inviting.
In the styling world, we often use the following furniture items to help fill in the spaces around a large dining room, to give potential buyers a visual picture of how they can best utilise the space:
- Buffet / Side Board
- Floor lamp
- Tall Plants in pots
- Separate Seating/reading nook
- We use larger head chairs with armrests or higher back for a more filled in look
- Add Rug underneath the dining table
- Console or hallway table
- A study desk and chair on one side
